Steve Kramarck's Super Holiday Funtime Boom!

Once each year, for the last 19 years, Steve Kramarck has come to WVUD and raided the airwaves with Christmas music, intelligent talk, and a boatload of panache. This year, it's happening during my show. It is rare for me to have the opportunity NOT to wake up at 3:30am on the Thursday before Christmas, so I leapt at the chance to have Steve fill in. He'll be bringing all of you listeners six luscious hours of comfort and joy, from 6am to Noon, on Thursday, December 20th, 2007. From the horsie's mouth: "Musically, it's a mix of the trite and sublime, the standards and the unknowns, long form, short form, etc... oh yeah, we have leg lamps, too." Tune in to 91.3 or listen online at wvud.org.

I'll catch you all on Thursday morning, December 27th, for my next show.
Happy Holidays!
-Sarah

P.S. Kramarck and I went to high school together and he never once gave me a swirlie. NICE!

Sweet Sweetness

I ended up watching Little Miss Sunshine again this past weekend. I hung out with three of my favorite humans and we had a wonderful day. I'm not sure I've been that spectacularly lazy in a while, but it was well worth it. Laughing, snacking, more laughing, watching movies on cable, more snacking, and, finally, a hair fire. What's not to like?

Here, with the anemic wheeze of a dying car horn, is my playlist from last week. Why did it take so terribly long to post, Sarah? Why are you so lazy? I was busy laughing. Enjoy:

Embarassing

Today I spent some time looking at some of the "Top 5 Embarassing Moments on YouTube." That's not accurate. I tried to look at them. They were too embarassing. I'd link to them, but they're all so miserable, I just can't. Oh, YouTube. You vindictive pop-culture movement, you...

And here, faster than video of your most embarassing moment can make it to YouTube, is my playlist from yesterday's show:

Lady

I found this picture of a lovely cabin a while ago and never posted it. There are lots of things I've never done, but I don't have all night to get into that.

So here are my playlists from the last two shows:

Hey, it's snowing! This is pretty exciting. Philadelphia looks all fresh and glisteny and, somehow, hopeful. Atta boy, Philadelphia.

Also, you'll be pleased to know that I'm back to yelling at the lady (while, of course, doing everything she tells me to). Oh, exercise video lady, you'll get yours. "Just one more set of crunches!" Oh, you insidious hag.

P.S. The Philadelphia snow picture was taken from Rob Bender's site.
